Duane Gafoor

Duane started his career in operations and worked in Corporate Development roles with large public and private multinational companies. His work with private companies and ultra high net worth individuals (UHNWIs) gave him the opportunity to work in private equity and venture capital with responsibilities creating market strategies; originating and negotiating investments; working with portfolio companies on strategy and business development initiatives; and divestments.

With a passion for helping people and businesses make smart decisions in venture capital and private investing, Duane brings a sense of excellence and old school Chicago passion into everything he takes on.
Prior to Bell Road, Duane served as the Co-Founder and Managing Director of Private Equity and Consulting at Oakville Ventures in bustling Hong Kong and Singapore. Before that, he was the Director of Corporate Development and Mergers and Acquisitions of Otto Group in Hong Kong, Manager of Corporate Development and Mergers and Acquisitions of Agility in Kuwait and Hong Kong, and Associate of Business Development at Millennium Research Group in Toronto.

Duane received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science from the University of Toronto – graduating with honors, and he received his Master of Business Administration from Copenhagen Business School and later his Master of Science in Global Finance from NYU Stern School of Business, receiving his degree as a part of the Beta Gamma Honors Society.
